Corporate Health Exchange
The Challenge: A large hospitality company decided to implement a corporate health exchange. At the same time, this company knew participant inquiries would spike due to the significant plan change. How could stakeholders ensure these changes were effectively implemented on time?
The Solution: The Guerra Group was brought in to project manage the implementation of the corporate health exchange annual enrollment and call center transition to a new service center. In this role, the Guerra Group managed project timing, call center training, user acceptance testing, and ensured readiness for annual enrollment, dual enrollment and on-going life and employee event activity.
The Results: Client stakeholders were kept fully apprised of project status and risk throughout the engagement, while key milestones were delivered on-time. By leveraging the expertise of the Guerra Group, the client was able to minimize risk without sacrificing quality deliverables.
Vendor Management
The Challenge: A major health care company needed additional resources to help manage a large engagement with a vendor providing defined contribution and health and welfare administration services. Unable to fill the role internally, how could the company ensure the highest quality service from this partner?
The Solution: The Guerra Group was tapped to take over vendor management responsibilities while also leading the internal staff of 9 associates on the shared services team. This included providing day to day leadership to the internal and external team, recommending process improvements, and stabilizing service issues.
Results: Senior client leadership was able to ensure that a critical employee facing vendor was providing all required services at a very high level. At the same time, internal staff members were provided with knowledgeable, consistent guidance and development, resulting in improved service delivery while all stakeholders were kept informed. This allowed senior management to focus on other strategic departmental goals.
Payroll Change Management
The Challenge: A major health care company was making a change to their payroll frequency. This change impacted a large portion of the population for a variety of benefit programs. And, of course, the project had an extremely aggressive timeline.
The Solution: The Guerra Group was brought in to apply the required level of focus on the benefits component of pay. This included extensive testing for each benefit program, validating health and welfare deductions, savings plan deferrals and contributions, as well as loan repayments.
The Results: By developing an aggressive plan and managing it closely, the Guerra Group verified accurate calculations for all impacted populations and ensured no changes were applied to any other employee groups. In doing so, the Guerra Group served as a vital bridge between the client's Payroll and Benefits teams. All changes were completed on time and all paychecks were verified as accurate.
